The dirtiest nature trail in Michigan
Having some time to kill after getting a six hour tour of some of the Masonic Temple's rarely seen rooms, and with the Detroit Derby Girls bout not starting for a few more hours, D and I wandered a stretch of the Dequindre cut between Eastern Market and Rivertown. If it weren't for the pissed off homeless guys, trash, and graffiti, you could almost fool yourself into thinking you were taking a nature walk at the cider mill, and not in the middle of Detroit.

the derby girls are hot! and they frighten me!
Agreed. A group of Miss Canada's fans kept harassing one of the girls each time she came around the track. Toward the end of the night, I thought she was about to come off the track and beat the piss out of them.
