counting down....

In just two more weeks and a few hours, I'll be on a plane headed toward Asia with nothing more than a couple changes of clothes and a few guide books. I still haven't made any plans or reservations, and don't really intend to. I'll figure it all out once I hit the ground.

My first night in Asia last year was spent in a dark, dank, brothel in Singapore's red light district. Not having made any reservations and landing around midnight meant my options were few. After 24 hours in the air, even the hard mattress and stained pillow sheets were a welcome sight.

I'm already thinking ahead to where to travel to next year. I'm thinking India....
